1930 Heath Super Parasol
The improved 1930 Heath Super Parasol was also known as the V-Parasol because of its V-struts. This set of drawings was commissioned by D. Michael Agin of Heath Aerocraft Ltd. Dr. Agin asked Roger Mann (RagWing Aircraft Designs) to redraw the original plans due to their age and brittleness. He wanted to have the full-size reproduction drawings available so that they could be handled without fear of destroying the originals. Roger used original, full-size Heath Super Parasol drawings to produce the reproduction plans in 1994. During the reproduction process, Roger used the original prints as a guide and kept all the reproduction drawings original with no changes, for historical purposes. Adams Aeronautics Company, Inc. acquired the marketing and support rights for these drawings from Roger on July 28, 2025. We have made some minor changes to the plans for readability issues only. The plans remain the same as they were when published in 1930. An additional drawing has been added to the set of nine (9) pages to show the Sport Parasol builder how to build the fuselage with diagonal tubing for the sides of the fuselage as a brace rather that the wire bracing of the original design. The top and bottom portions of the fuselage maintain the original wire bracing. Roger went on to market this set of drawings until his set hast lost in a storm. NOTE: We supplied Roger Mann with a replacement set of drawings for him to keep in his collection.
